Picture

Hello my name is Nancy Merwin.  I have a bachelor's degree in Family and Consumer Sciences Education and a master's degree in Elementary Education.  This will be my 31st year teaching at Cuba City School District.  The classes I teach include: Foods for Life, Foods and Fitness, Foods of the World, Culinary Arts, Parenting, Assistant Child Care Teacher, Adult Living, Seventh Grade Exploratory and Youth Tutor Youth, along with coordinating Youth Apprentices.  Additionally, I am the adviser for FCCLA and Educators Rising.  I love helping students prepare for their future, whether it is in their personal life or professionally.  It is great seeing their "ah ha" moments!
I
spend free time playing with our dog, taking rides or watching movies.

Vice President

Hello everyone!  I'm Stephanie Halverson. I graduated from UW-Stevens Point with my bachelor's degree and earned my master's degree in curriculum and instruction from UW-Oshkosh. This will be my 31st year of teaching and my 19th at Hortonville High School. I teach Baking and Pastry Arts, but mainly teach our ECE/Education Pathway. All of the classes are either transcripted through Fox Valley Technical College (Child Development, Infant and Toddler Development, Health, Safety, Nutrition, Foundations of ECE, Introduction to Educational Practices, and Technology in Education) or CAPP through UW-Oshkosh (Education 110). I am also the advisor for Educators Rising and co-advisor for HOSA. I enjoy spending time in Door County, camping, baking, and reading. What I enjoy most about teaching is building relationships with the students and creating engaging lessons to bridge the gap between classroom learning and career preparation.
