Hello WFCE, I am Jennie Marx and I am starting my 21st year in the Westby Area School District. I received my Bachelors of Science in Family & Consumer Sciences from the University of Wisconsin- Stout. I have certifications in Family & Community Services, Child Services, Food Service and what was once known as HERO (Home Economics Related Occupations). Have advised FCCLA for 20+ years as well and have had many state officers, extremely active members and many successes and awards through FCCLA. I am also a cheerleading adviser, student council adviser, dance coordinator, ACP coordinator, and the Westby Area Teachers Association President. I teach Child Development, Assistant Childcare Teacher, Interior Design, Fashion Construction, Basic Foods, Advanced Foods, Culinary Arts, Intro to FCS, 7th Grade FCS Exploratory. I love my students and the constant and consistent change that each day brings. I find joy in the simple things and I have had the opportunity and privilege to watch some absolutely amazing students grow and blossom in my program. In my spare time my husband and I own and operate a small dairy farm where we milk Ayrshires, raise young stock, crop corn, alfalfa, and oats/straw. I personally enjoy gardening, flowers, food preservation, baking, and when I have time, crafting and quilting.
Julie Gomm Treasurer
Hello my name is Julie Gomm. I'm a graduate of UW-SP and have been teaching since 1987. I currently teach Culinary Basics, Culinary Advanced, Child Development and Parenting, Teen Living, Health Occupations, World of Foods, Clothing Construction & Fashion Merchandising and a 7th grade quarterly rotation. I'm lucky that my children live in our home town of Shiocton and I get to see them and the grandbabies often. We are very active in the community and when we aren't doing that we head "up north."
Caitlin Reasor Reporter & Website Administrator
Hello! My name is Caitlin Reasor. I graduated from UW-Stevens Point in 2014 with a Bachelor's Degree in Family and Consumer Sciences Education and Health Education and in 2022, I earned my Master's Degree in Education. This is my 11th year of teaching and I am starting my first year with the Wausau School District at both the middle and high school levels. What I most enjoy about teaching FCS is the variety each day with the different classes that I teach and that my students are gaining life skills. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family, friends, and cats! A lot of my time now is spent with my daughter, Lyla, who is a year old. I also enjoy cooking, baking, biking, and traveling.
