WFCE-HIGH SCHOOL STUDENT SCHOLARSHIP GUIDELINES
To qualify applicants must be:
• A high school senior planning to major in Family & Consumer Science Education
• Who plans to attend and accredited university, college, or technical school in the state of Wisconsin
• A student of a current WFCE member, or a son or daughter of a current WFCE member
Recipient will be eligible for the scholarship after earning a 2.5 grade point or better during the first semester.
Specifications:
1. Financial need is considered, but not mandatory.
2. Any individual graduating senior may apply.
3. Scholarship funds will be made payable to the student and the institution of their choice after successful completion of the first semester. A copy of a transcript must be sent to the WFCE treasurer to provide proof of this successful completion.
4. Active involvement in FCCLA is considered, but not mandatory.
5. Applicants applying must be students of, or son or daughter of a current WFCE member.
Application Requirements:
1. A completed copy of the application form.
2. Two letters of recommendation from teachers, guidance counselors, employers, or community members need to be submitted with attached applications.
3. The High School Scholarship Application Form should be sent to committee chairperson by the predetermined date. Scholarship winners will be announced and honored at the WFCE Annual Conference.
