MISSION

PURPOSE OF WFCE
The Purposes of This Organization are to:

*Promote elementary/secondary family and consumer sciences education

*Strengthen family and consumer sciences education programs K-12

*Join with others to support common issues

*Encourage and assist professional development activities for Wisconsin family and consumer sciences education teachers

*Encourage policies and programs beneficial to vocational education including family and consumer education


PROFESSIONAL OUTREACH
To Affect Change and Promote Recognition for the Family and Consumer Science Profession, WFCE is Actively Involved:

*Coalition of Wisconsin vocational education professional associations

*Professional education organization for Wisconsin

*Wisconsin family and consumer sciences education and Wisconsin vocational associations

 

PERSONAL OUTREACH
To Accomplish the Goal of Networking:

*Each CESA District has a Representative on the WFCE Council who coordinates local meetings and activities to identify and share concerns and who facilitates communication between family and consumer sciences education teachers

*All members are encouraged to contribute to WFCE newsletters by reviewing articles, meetings, or textbooks; and sharing experiences, classroom activities and creative ideas

*An annual membership meeting and conference held in July or August

*Members receive a membership directory

*Members receive a professional journal published by WFCE. Any member can submit a manuscript.
